Atlast was an Earthclan colony which, as of 2489 C.E., was considered a new and rustic world.[1] Earthclan's lease on Atlast granted Terran settlers colonization rights for a term of six thousand years before the world was to be allowed to go fallow once again.[2]
Keepiru, pilot of the TAASF Streaker, came from Atlast. Atlast was also home to pier-nesters, which were considered crazy and were used as a basis of comparison for erratic behavior.[3]
