The Hawking class unmanned probes were an early type of Human-made vessel built for the purpose of extrasolar exploration. Hawking class probes were powered by antimatter and achieved many important milestones, including the first missions beyond the orbits of Pluto and the Oort Cloud in the late 2100s C.E. Eventually, Human-crewed vessels such as the Isaac Newton and Jane Chen largely supplanted the role once played by the automated Hawking class.[1]
