The Shallow Cluster was a globular cluster in the stellar halo of Galaxy Two. Characterized as a Galactic tide pool,[1] the Shallow Cluster was a region of notably flat space-time, where the manifold layers of hyperspace were either difficult to access or entirely nonexistent. The Embrace of Tides was weak here, and as such it was avoided by most members of Galactic society.
Fleet of Moons[]
The Shallow Cluster came to the attention of Galactic society in the Terran year 2489 C.E., when the Terragen survey ship Streaker discovered a derelict fleet of massive vessels within it. These vessels were of incredible antiquity and bore symbols which were virtually unknown to modern Galactics. Streaker's psi-cast message reporting its discovery sparked turmoil across all five connected galaxies.
