Zang

Zang are the most commercially active of the Hydro order of life, many oxy clans refer to any perceived hydro ship as Zang. While some clans develop a talent for speaking and bartering with hydros, their dislike of the unexpected and alien viewpoint on death makes them dangerous to contact.

While oxygen based life evolved through reproduction, hydrogen based life is very different. Hydros initially grow to a single "visible from space" organism at the equivalent stage of single-celled creatures in oxy development. Different 'parts' of the hydro then begin to learn techniques or ways to metabolize and slowly propagate that thru the whole super-organism by way of growth/regeneration, replacing the less talented tissue in a process that could take years to fully complete. As intelligent beings, hydros have learned how to dispatch parts of themselves to perform physical and mental tasks. All of this has given them very different viewpoints on self, others, time, and death.
